**4 Hour Ride Session** **Drop and go session - parents to drop off 09:00 and collect 13:00.** **The session will involve a fair bit of cycling, but also throwing stones in the river, half hour in the Park, some skill sessions where we stop and focus on technique. I.e. we wont be cycling for 4 hours straight, as that would kill Coach Matt too!** For children who can ride a bike and take instruction. Meet 09:00 on the field by Cafe Castan in Pontcannau - 5 Cathedral Rd, Llandaff Fields, Pontcanna, Cardiff CF11 9QJ The session will likely cover 15-20km of riding, across fields and through woods as we explore! Session will end back at Cafe Castan for 13:00. Bring a packed lunch (children will not have to carry it!). #####

**45 Minute Ride Session - Thursday - 15:30 - 16:15 - Termly bookings!**

For children who can ride a bike and take instruction.

Session will go ahead come rain or shine, so please ensure your child has appropriate clothing (waterproof / warm jacket). If the weather is extreme (think snow or torrential rain), we will head inside for cycling themed activity.

This session further develops young riders cycling skills, including;

- Body position
- Lean and look techniques
- Climbing and descending techniques
- Smooth gear transitions
- Emergency braking
- One handed riding
- Maybe even basic bunny hops and endos!

All whilst further equipping your child to reap the benefits that independence on two wheels affords!

This session develops young riders cycling skills learnt on a balance bike, in to practice on a 'big kids bike' with pedals;

- Pedal stroke - avoiding the 'dead spot'
- Looking ahead and steering
- Using breaks
- Balance
